Telemedicine/TeleHealth capabilities, such as videoconferencing for clients/patients, can expand the reach of services and improve efficiency of healthcare and related support services by shortening delays in services and eliminating or reducing travel time and associated costs.

Telemedicine/TeleHealth-based services can be particularly beneficial for clients/patients that live in geographically remote or underserved areas throughout the State of Kuwait. Due to economics, higher rates of poverty and limited transportation options causes delays in treatments for patients which affects the patient outcomes when diagnosed with certain illnesses.

Telemedicine/TeleHealth can play an important role in meeting service gaps in the State of Kuwait by facilitating integrated care of physical and behavioral health across the continuum of care.
